Just for fun, I decided to make a few crash bar (J tool) bypass tools to hand out at DEF CON 26. They are made with weldable wire, and some heat shrink for the grip, and to help prevent scratching.
Also, for the sake of size, I decided to create a very small hook that turns the handle from the full width of a hand, to something that you can grab with just a couple of fingers. You’ll notice the difference in size in a few of them, as I was working to figure out the best dimensions to use.
The wire will bend slightly when used on more heavy-duty crash bars. It’s easy to straighten back out though. I went with a lighter gauge wire for a smaller profile.
